Christopher Nolan, famous English director, screenwriter and producer, is the great mind behind the latest Dark Night trilogy. He also seems to be a big Joseph Campbell fan!

The filmmaker made a comment at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, explaining that each of the Batman movies fall in a different genre. According to him, Batman Begins purposefully follows the Hero’s Journey, as it was laid out by Joseph Campbell.
