With scientific understanding of DNA 🧬 perhaps race shall be the next myth to recede into the mist. The family of humanity with all its cultural diversity is a treasure trove and boon to explore. I think all human beings are born and bred to imagine abstract ideal. Happy Holidays!!!
Just imagine all the solstices on all the exoplanets in all of creation . Where life evolves to the level of abstract thought and symbolism I would think there would be ways to honor the seasons and the ebb and flow of life they nurture. There were solstices and suns that happened in systems long before our solar systems. These suns lived and died before ours. Their death created the elements we are comprised of. Our sun is a sun coagulated resurrected from their death. The cosmic and solar cycles continue. May our abstractions and symbols be a light that shines as a force in a creative universe. May we grow in knowledge and wisdom. May this growth be a legacy we leave as a gift to future generations for peace prosperity and health. All hail the Spirit of incarnate Life that all of creation participates in … and the mythic metaphoric flame that burns in all …

I bet if we could take one of those ancient tribesmen to the ISS, let them watch an Earth rise or two , explained to them the heliocentric solar system , show them a telescope , they would get it !!! The truth and awe of it all !!!

That you for the Mark Twain (Death on the Missisliffi: Huckleberry Finn in Finnegans Wake) reference for R³ which I think is his allusion to the Three R’s of Reading Writing and Arithmetic. Gotta love American colloquialisms !!! I do enjoy multiple entendre. The Cubing of the sphere the squaring of the circle is also implied (The Cube the Coach with the sex insides) . Great mystical contemplations. Lots of fun ! There are more allusions and the number continues to grow with reading and reflection.

No reference to Buddhism in the Greek accounts? Possible Alexander’s exploits made room for the explosion of Buddhism after he left. Check dates of inception and cross cultural pollination fertilization . Things always take time to grow to fruition. Cultural movements and conveyances included. Follow your rational logical Train of thought.

Such a wonderful enchanting life memory !!! Rails played a pivotal part in the growth of my country last century. They are part of the gilded age legacy with many folktales stories and myths attributed to them. I live in SouthFlorida we Had Henry Flagler that built the train tracks to Key West. Lots of romance and tragedy still in the public mind around here about his legacy. Great stories. We have recently completed a new passenger rail line called Brightline that travels from west palm beach to Miami . Lots of fun to ride . They have WiFi drinks and food. Will be adding a leg to Orlando soon. We are trying to green America with mass transit projects. Rails have always been part of the supply chain here. I love watching the freight and passenger trains go by. The main lines are less than a mile from my house.

The still point of the solstice is a great mnemonic device giving to us as a Christmas present or an Easter egg in this simulation we call reality. Silent Night Holy Night must be experienced abstractly within the human mind. Round young Virgin. Contemplate your place in the universe. Return from this point of view renew recharged bringing tidings of peace and great joy to all sentient beings of Life. Look to the Christmas Tree and Christmas lights as metaphors of geometry green vegetation with multiple entendre… Create a poetic narrative or two … Silence is Golden, often words elicit unintended consequences. Be the Light. Write a poem with action and stillness …

Many old myths served as narratives that contained mnemonic devices. They had poetic entendre on multiple levels in their native language. I think the literal way we recite them would be foreign to their authors. The constellations were used for navigation and seasonal recognition. The narratives kept them in our ancestors mind. Navigation and the reckoning of time is still a viable essential science.
