Hello everyone, I would like to know, in your opinion, who are the main scholars of comparative mythology in the 21st century, who follow a historical and psychological (archetypal) perspective of mythology, in the same vein as Campbell’s theories? What bibliographic works would you recommend?

    Best regards

It would be good to have a bit more direction here, but one scholar of comparative mythology who has created an extensive body of work is Dr. Christine Downing (see enclosed link below).

Thanks Robert for the author referral.
I look for names such as Joseph Campbell who are committed to an academic production and have relevant and contemporary publications on the subject of Comparative Mythology, mainly in the same aspects as Campbell: who present a relationship between the universal, elementary and archetypal question of the myth; and also understand and present an approach to the historical, ethnic question of mythology.
    Best regards
