Marianne, what a wonderful response. I need to read it a few times to take it in but I am honored that any of this has been so engaging and meaningful to you.
You are so right. the first religion was drummed and danced. To embody mythological truths is to inhabit the body in ways that reaffirm its animality AND its divinity. I think of the great work being done on embodied writing by the author Lidia Yuknavitch and the Corporeal Writing groups. So much here to respond to. Thank you for your wisdom.
