James, I like what you say about how synchronicity seems to be involved in what Campbell said about how when you put yourself on a certain path when you find what is your bliss that then doors open where there were walls…to me too that yes seems like synchronicity at work, when the gears of the machinery of the universe are merely clicking into place when we put ourselves (our own wheel) on the right track–as sort of a microcosmic wheel (our own little wheel)of the macrocosmic (world/cosmos) wheel. It also reminds me of the Tao saying about the path of least resistance.
