Btw; speaking of the term “Chrysalis”; here is a truly magnificent piece written by Jean Shinoda Bolen on this topic that for me was a real game changer in helping me to connect so many of these Jungian concepts together into a single coherent whole. This piece was introduced to me along with several other participants in discussion thread concerning “individuation” by JCF Jungian moderator Cindy Bias several years ago.
